Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our leadership team at The Academies of Oklahoma. The COO will play a critical role in the strategic planning and operational management of the school. Reporting directly to the Superintendent, this individual will oversee the Director of Facilities and the Director of Finance, ensuring that the school runs efficiently, effectively, and in alignment with our mission and values. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a strong operational background, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for education.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Superintendent and leadership team to develop and implement strategic plans, goals, and policies that promote the mission and vision of The Academies of Oklahoma.

- Operational Oversight: Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the school, including management of facilities, finance, human resources, and compliance with state and federal regulations.

- Director Supervision: Provide oversight and support to the Director of Facilities and the Director of Finance, facilitating effective communication and collaboration between departments.

- Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and reporting processes to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the school. Work closely with the Director of Finance to manage resources effectively.

- Facility Management: Ensure the maintenance and safety of school facilities. Collaborate with the Director of Facilities to plan for any renovations, expansions, or repairs needed to meet the school's goals.

- Performance Monitoring: Establish performance metrics, monitoring systems, and continuous improvement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Foster positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members, promoting collaboration and transparency.

- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as school policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Education Administration, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

- Proven experience in a leadership role within an educational setting, with a strong understanding of school operations and management.

- Excellent financial acumen and experience managing budgets and resources.

- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

- Familiarity with facility management and maintenance principles is a plus.
