Description

Gore Middle/High School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to provide instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will be committed to creating a classroom environment that promotes academic growth, independence, and social-emotional development.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with students, parents, and staff
- Provide direct instruction in both inclusion and resource settings
- Modify and adapt curriculum and instruction to meet the needs of students with disabilities
- Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
- Maintain compliance with all district, state, and federal special education regulations
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certification in Special Education
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to supporting the academic and emotional needs of all students
