Purcell High School is the flagship of our district, and we are seeking a leader who can build upon our traditions while driving academic innovation and excellence.

The High School Principal serves as the primary instructional leader and chief administrator of Purcell High School. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated staff of certified and support professionals, ensuring a culture of high expectations, safety, and kindness. We are seeking a visionary who understands the complexities of secondary education—from college and career readiness to the diverse extracurricular needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities
Instructional Leadership: Direct the secondary instructional program and evaluate staff using the OKTLE framework.

PLC Facilitation: Lead and sustain the Professional Learning Community process to ensure data-informed instruction and student growth.

Student Success: Oversee all aspects of student life, including graduation requirements, master scheduling, and extracurricular participation.

Operational Management: Manage building-level budgets, safety protocols, and coordination with district-wide bond facility improvements.

Community Relations: Maintain transparent and active communication with students, parents, and community stakeholders.

Visible Presence: A commitment to being a "boots-on-the-ground" leader who is active in the hallways, classrooms, and at evening extracurricular events.

Required Qualifications Education: Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership or Administration.

Certification: Valid Oklahoma Secondary Principal Certificate.

Experience: Classroom teaching experience; proven leadership in an administrative or department head role.
Preferred Qualifications PLC Expertise: Proven success in leading collaborative teacher teams through the PLC cycle (Reviewing data, setting goals, and implementing interventions).

Secondary Leadership: 3–5 years of administrative experience at the high school level.

Cultural Alignment: A leader who embodies "Dragon Pride" and fosters a school climate built on respect and kindness.

Modern Literacy: Proficiency in digital communication and school management platforms (e.g., Infinite Campus, social media engagement).
