| Description | The Activity Clerk / Attendance Clerk is a twelve-month position reporting directly to the Superintendent. This role is responsible for managing school activity funds and attendance records, supporting state reporting and accreditation requirements, assisting with district technology needs, and providing operational and office support to ensure efficient daily operations. The position requires strong organizational skills, financial accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while supporting students, staff, and the community. |
| Required Qualifications | High school diploma required; associate’s degree or higher preferred. Must be able to pass a background check. |
| Preferred Qualifications | Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, school finance, or office management preferred. Knowledge of school activity fund procedures, including purchase order requisitions and check processing, is strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to reconcile and balance activity accounts monthly and prepare accurate documentation for annual audits. Understanding of compliance requirements related to school activity funds and the ability to guide certified staff in maintaining legally compliant activity accounts. Prior experience in a school setting preferred. Ability to assist the Superintendent with required state reports, accreditation documentation, and preparation of information for staff and public communication. Ability to manage timelines and communicate important reporting deadlines and district information to staff. Experience setting up and configuring Chromebooks, assigning Google accounts/emails, and supporting basic Google Workspace administration. Working knowledge of Chromebook troubleshooting and minor repair. Knowledge of network systems, firewalls, and general educational technology infrastructure a plus. Ability to collaborate effectively while serving in multiple support roles, including cafeteria assistance (serving line support, meal preparation, and cleaning duties). Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate daily substitute coverage and assist in recruiting both certified and support personnel substitutes. Ability to prepare and post weekly breakfast and lunch schedules to the district website. Experience coordinating school-wide events, such as the Fall Carnival, preferred. Proficiency in office technology, including multi-line phone systems, Microsoft Office applications, district student information systems, and general educational technology platforms. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in all responsibilities. Willingness to assist with student supervision, including support of the In-School Detention program. Ability to multitask, prioritize competing responsibilities, and adapt to the evolving needs of the district |
