| Description | Are you a passionate, proven leader ready to take a highly respected high school football program to new heights? Jones School District is searching for a high-energy Head Football Coach to guide our students-athletes, shape young men of character, and ignite community pride through competitive, disciplined, and values-driven football. We compete in the 3A classification, with a proud tradition of multiple state championships, multiple playoff appearances, and highly dedicated fan base. We are looking for a visionary coach to unify our staff, develop talent from 7th through 12th grade, and create a culture of toughness, sportsmanship, and relentless improvement. Qualifications: Deep knowledge of football fundamentals, modern offensive and defensive strategies, film analysis, and player safety protocols. Valid teaching certificate or the ability to obtain one by July 1, 2026. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and connect with high school student-athletes. Demonstrated commitment to the academic success and holistic development of student-athletes. Strong vision for strength and conditioning, with the ability to develop a year-round program that improves performance, toughness, and injury prevention. Ability to promote and advocate for student-athletes by helping them gain exposure and opportunities to compete at the collegiate level. Current certifications in CPR/First Aid, concussion training, and any required state coaching endorsements (or the ability to obtain them promptly). Ability to successfully pass a background check. Ability to develop and align the 7–12 football program with a clear vision, consistent system, and strong program culture. Commitment to leading with strong character, integrity, and professionalism. Willingness to hold student-athletes to high standards of discipline, effort, and accountability. Brings energy, passion, and leadership to the program every day.
