7-12 Band Teacher
Chaparral Schools USD 361 in Harper County is seeking a passionate and dedicated 712 Band Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year. We are looking for an educator who is committed to student growth, musical excellence, and building positive relationships with students, staff, families, and the community.
Responsibilities Include:
Directing and teaching middle school and high school band students in grades 712
Planning and delivering engaging music instruction aligned to Kansas standards
Organizing concerts, performances, pep band, and school/community events
Supporting student participation in honor groups, festivals, and contests
Maintaining a positive classroom culture and effective communication with families and staff
Collaborating with colleagues to support student success and school activities
Qualifications:
Valid Kansas teaching license with appropriate endorsement (or ability to obtain)
Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying skill levels
Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
