| Description | WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT ANNOUNCES AN OPENING FOR DIRECTOR OF K-12 PROGRAMS AND PARTNERSHIPS Rose State College’s Workforce Development division seeks a dynamic and experienced education professional to serve as Director of K-12 Programs and Partnerships. This position provides leadership for the College’s K-12 programs, charter school partnerships, and LEAD Center operations. The Director oversees program strategy, staffing, budgets, facilities, compliance, and partnerships to provide safe, high-quality educational experiences aligned with the mission, vision, and values of Rose State College. The Director works closely with College faculty and staff, K-12 schools, families, charter school partners, community organizations, and the Oklahoma State Department of Education to strengthen existing programs and develop new opportunities for students throughout the community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Plan, implement, and evaluate K-12 programming, including Kids College, Teen Scene, summer STEM academies and camps, AOPA education, after-school programs, outreach activities, Parents Night Out, and other campus youth events. Minimum Qualifications: Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in education, curriculum and instruction, educational leadership, or a closely related field. Candidate must possess or agree to pursue and pass the Oklahoma Principal Comprehensive Assessment within 18 months of employment. Experience: At least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in K-12 education, youth programming, or educational program administration. Experience must include: Planning and delivering educational programs Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and the ability to learn registration, access, and program tracking systems are required. Candidates should demonstrate sound judgment, attention to detail, and discretion in handling confidential information. Desired Qualifications: Master’s degree in education, educational leadership, school counseling, curriculum and instruction, library media, or a closely related field. AOPA teacher certification and training in youth program management, child safety, or compliance are also desirable. Five (5) or more years of relevant educational experience is preferred, including K-12 classroom teaching and leadership of multiple youth programs in a college, school, or community setting. Preference may be given to candidates with experience in charter school oversight or district partnerships, regulatory reporting and site visits, Minors on Campus policies, grant writing and management, and facility or front office operations. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to build strong school and community partnerships, develop innovative programs, improve processes, and use data and stakeholder feedback to strengthen program quality and service. Physical Requirements: Moderate lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds is required. The position requires the ability to reach above shoulder level; sit, stand, walk, kneel, bend, and stoop; move freely throughout campus; and visit off-campus locations. Pay Rate: $69,500 annually. An unofficial degree-conferring transcript and/or verifiable completion certificates must be received by this office for formal consideration; however, should an offer of employment be extended, official transcripts are required. Candidates must be able to interpret and apply policies related to minors, safety, accessibility, and student privacy; coordinate partner reporting, invoicing, and site visits; and support grant proposals and administration.
