Description

Job purpose
To assist in all areas of grounds maintenance for providing a safe, neat and clean environment on the campus.

Duties and responsibilities
Operation of all yard maintenance equipment, i.e.; mowing, trimming, pruning, etc.
Operate backhoe and forklift
Maintain and clean all equipment
Maintain lawn sprinklers
Assist in other areas of building maintenance as assigned
Other duties as assigned

Working conditions
The Grounds Maintenance Worker will perform duties primarily outdoors with frequent exposure to inclement weather. The mission of the school may require work in the business and industry community and other settings. A standard workweek is required but may require evening or weekend hours to accommodate activities such as travel within and outside of the Great Plains Service area, Board meetings and representation of Great Plains at public events.

This position will require physically strenuous work. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move items up to fifty (50) pounds.

Contract Length
12 month, full-time

Required Qualifications Qualifications

Grounds maintenance experience preferred
