Description | REPORTS TO: Project AWARE Community/Manager CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time JOB SUMMARY Under general supervision and in accordance with federal and state laws, rules and regulations of the State Board of Education, serve as a licensed mental health professional providing direct counseling services to students at one LPS high school. Assist in the development and implementation of Lawton Public School’s therapeutic services referral pathway, make recommendations for change; and perform related duties as assigned. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Graduation from an accredited college or university with a minimum of a master’s degree in counseling, school psychology, or a closely related field [official transcript(s) required]. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Thorough knowledge of state and federal school laws, rules and regulations and NPS policy and procedure; Consult with the other Lawton Public Schools LMHP to ensure equitable access to mental health services for identified students and; WORK ENVIRONMENT: General office setting and in elementary and secondary schools EEO STATEMENT: OPENINGS: 3 |
Required Qualifications | REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Graduation from an accredited college or university with a minimum of a master’s degree in counseling, school psychology, or a closely related field [official transcript(s) required]. LPC, LCSW, LMFT or LADC licensure, candidates under supervision will be considered. |
