This position would foster these 4 principles by serving Cleveland Schools as our 8th-12th grade Vo-Ag Teacher and FFA Director
Specific Duties Are:
Work with administration to maintain Career Pathways in conjunction with OK Career Tech Requirements.
Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and cater to students' needs in agriculture education.
Instruct students on various agricultural topics such as plant science, animal husbandry, agricultural mechanics, and agribusiness.
Organize and supervise hands-on learning experiences such as FFA activities, field trips, and agricultural projects.
Work collaboratively with the local 4-H club and FFA student parents to promote student success in pursuing passions and competing in local, county, state, and national competitions.
Assess student progress through exams, projects, and presentations to provide feedback and support academic growth.
Collaborate with other teachers, industry professionals, and community members to enhance the agricultural education program.
Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and practical application of agricultural skills.
Provide guidance and mentorship to students in developing career goals and pursuing post-secondary education or employment in the agriculture industry.
Manage agricultural facilities, equipment, and resources to ensure they are in good working condition for instructional purposes.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on trends in agricultural education and teaching practices.
Communicate regularly with parents and stakeholders to share student progress, program updates, and opportunities for involvement in the agricultural education community.
