Skills and Abilities required:
Positive influencer, able to work compassionately with teachers whether advanced or struggling to integrate technology.
Attuned to the needs and learning styles of administrators, staff and students, and able to translate that ability into effective technology integration and support.
Collaborate with site leadership on building needs and goals, fosters healthy relationship between site and district, school and families. The Teacher Trainer will be assigned specific schools to visit on scheduled rotation throughout the year.
Collaborate in a team effort with other employees including administrators, teachers, EdTech Team, IT, library media specialists, and others.
Provide effective one-on-one, small group, and large group training virtually and in-person, as needed.
Provide support for families using instructional tools in various formats including a rotation among assigned schools.
Design and model lessons with technology integration.
Personable: able to interact with multiple personality types and interaction styles with little friction.
Certification or demonstration of advanced proficiency in:
 Google Workspace for Education (Level 1 Certification)
 Kami
 GoGuardian
 Apple Teacher (iPad)
 Clever (School Tech Lead)
 Quickly understand or self-teach innovative technologies as adopted by the district, i.e. screencasting, interactive flat panels, and others.
 Troubleshooting, able to assess whether it needs to be escalated to next level.
 Self- motivated: able to work on several projects concomitantly.
 Protect the confidentiality of information pertaining to students, staff and program matters as appropriate. Understand FERPA, COPPA, CIPA, etc.
 Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment.
 Flexibility, the ability to react resourcefully to varying conditions.
 Weekly in-person team meetings with EdTech district team.
 Effectively communicate trainings, changes, updates, and other news from EdTech to school and vice versa.
 Designs and publishes training materials such as manuals and tutorials to district standard.
 Assists district personnel in the planning and implementation of technology plans and district technology policies and procedures.
 Participates in professional development (in person and online) to stay abreast of the latest trends and studies/research in the field of educational technology.
Other duties as assigned.

DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Provides staff development and mentorship to district
teaching staff in classroom technology integration. Will provide technology support for families. Will
be housed on-site at one of their assigned schools. Daily schedules will be dictated by hours that
teachers report by site, including family engagement events. Reports to Assistant Director of
Educational Technology.
