The STEM position is pending acceptance and approval of a grant application.

Responsibilities:
● The STEM Coordinator would be responsible for researching and developing a
plan to launch new STEM programs at the Lower Elementary, Junior High, and
High School. This should begin by scheduling lessons with the lower grade level
teachers in the first year of implementation. Also, the STEM coordinator should
work with current Perry Junior High STEM teachers to improve instructional
delivery and recruitment practices during the first year.
● Provide comprehensive instructional coaching in STEM.
● Collaborate with teachers and provide specific strategies for improved
instructional delivery.
● Coach teachers on STEM initiatives and instructional best practices in the STEM
areas.
● Research and visit other STEM labs to advise on implementing future labs
and how to improve our current program.
● Develop benchmark assessments, analyze data from assessments, and serve as
a resource in identifying appropriate research-based instructional strategies and
interventions.
● Create curriculum maps for all grade levels to ensure that lessons taught in class support our current grade level state standards. Develop the
District scope and sequence.
● Eagerness to attend professional development and ability to turnkey train staff as
needed.

Preferred Qualifications Bachelor degree preferred. If no degree, must work towards an Associate degree per Oklahoma Department of Career and Technical Education (ODCTE) certification requirement in the area of instruction.
