Putnam City (OK) Public Schools is seeking a superintendent to build upon the district’s century-long legacy of excellence, leadership and community pride. The district serves approximately 19,000 students across 18 elementary schools, five middle schools, three high schools and one academy. The district employs 1,670 certified and 1,131 support staff members with a $290 million budget.

• Academic Excellence: Putnam City has a districtwide focus on literacy and student success, including a comprehensive five-year literacy plan. Kindergarten reading proficiency has grown by 11% over two years and STAR literacy scores have increased across all elementary grades.

• Athletic Achievement: The district has earned eight total state championships since Class 6A was formed, including the 2024 and 2025 Girls Basketball State Championships.
