| Description | Purcell Public Schools is seeking an exceptional, high-energy leader to serve as the High School Assistant Principal and District Athletic Director. This dual-role position is a cornerstone of our "Dragon Strong" culture, requiring a professional who can transition seamlessly between school administration and the management of a competitive, multi-sport athletic department. The successful candidate will help usher in a new era for Purcell High School, ensuring both academic integrity and athletic excellence. Purcell is a community that bleeds red and white. Key Responsibilities As Athletic Director: Event Management: Oversee all home athletic contests, including scheduling, staffing, officiating, and security. Budgeting: Manage the athletic department budget, equipment procurement, and fundraising oversight. Facility Oversight: Coordinate the use and maintenance of athletic facilities. As Assistant Principal: Instructional Leadership: Perform teacher evaluations (TLE) and support faculty in maintaining high academic standards. Safety & Operations: Assist the High School Principal in daily operations and the implementation of school-wide safety protocols. |
| Required Qualifications | Education: Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership or Administration. Certification: Valid Oklahoma School Principal Certificate (Standard or Provisional). |
| Preferred Qualifications | Experience: A proven track record in athletic coaching or athletic administration is required. Previous secondary administrative experience is highly preferred. Skills: Exceptional communication and organizational skills; ability to manage complex schedules; proficiency in OSSAA rankings, eligibility requirements, and digital platforms (e.g., RankOne). |
