Description

The School Counselor in a small school serves all students (PK–12 or assigned grade levels) by providing academic, social-emotional, and college/career guidance. This position requires flexibility, strong relationships with students and families, and the ability to manage multiple roles within a small school setting. The counselor supports student success while ensuring compliance with Oklahoma State Department of Education guidelines and state requirements.
Provide career exploration opportunities
Assist with college applications, scholarships, and financial aid
Coordinate career days, college visits, and workforce readiness activities
Assist with scheduling and master schedule development
Support discipline and behavior interventions
Help coordinate testing and accountability reporting
Perform additional duties as assigned by administration
Required Qualifications Valid Oklahoma School Counselor Certification
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
Experience in small school settings preferred
