| Description | Cordell schools is seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Agriculture Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agricultural sciences, hands-on shop experience, and a passion for developing student leadership through FFA. This position involves classroom instruction, laboratory/shop management, and active involvement in FFA events and competitions. |
| Required Qualifications | Develop and deliver engaging curriculum in agricultural education, including plant science, animal science, agricultural mechanics, and related subjects Supervise and maintain a safe, organized agricultural shop/lab environment Prepare students for and actively participate in FFA leadership development events (LDEs) and career development events (CDEs) Serve as an FFA advisor, supporting chapter activities, competitions, and community engagement Integrate hands-on learning experiences and real-world agricultural applications into instruction Manage student projects, including Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAEs) Collaborate with staff, administration, and community partners to enhance program quality |
| Preferred Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education or a related field Valid teaching certification in Agricultural Education Strong knowledge of agricultural practices and agricultural mechanics/shop skills Experience with FFA programs and competitive events Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Ability to motivate and engage students in both classroom and extracurricular settings |
