QUALIFICATIONS:

l. The general qualifications of a teacher in the state.

2. At least a master's degree from an accredited institution, with a major in administration and supervision.

3. At least five years' teaching experience, one year of which shall have been at the level assigned.

REPORTS TO: Chief Secondary Education Officer
SUPERVISES: All personnel serving in assigned school
JOB GOAL: To make the school facility an attractive, pleas­ant, and productive place in which to work and learn.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Studies the educational needs of the neighborhood served by the school and develops plans for meeting them.

Exerts leadership in the adaptation of the general program of education approved for the schools to meet the particular needs of the community served.

Directs the activities of school professional and nonprofessional staff members in the performance of their duties.

Supervises the instructional staff in the development and imple­mentation of curriculum and student activities.

Reports to appropriate central office administrative officers regarding the needs of the school with respect to personnel, equipment, supplies, and curriculum.

Develops a program of public relations in order to further the community's understanding and support of the educational program.

Administers the school's budgeted allocations.

Implements Board policies and administrative rules and regula­tions relating to the school

Prepares such reports as may be required.

Utilizes all resources of the school system and the community in developing the most effective educational program.

Consults regularly with and coordinates the services of the resource personnel so that all classroom teachers may receive effective assistance.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve month year. Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of administrative personnel.
