Description

A School Climate Coordinator job description: a professional who enhances overall well being and
help meets basic and complex needs of communities and people. Many different
populations and types of people are served, focusing on those who are vulnerable,
oppressed, and living in poverty. At PPS-this individual will be housed on site,
coordinate with local, regional and state organizations to meet the needs of students
and families in our community.
Examples of services that could be offered include:
- Enroll in food stamps
- Connect with clothing drives
- Housing assistance
- Food bank
- Rent and utility assistance
- Transportation
- Academic assistance for parent and student
- Technology assistance

This person would also encompass mental health, providing training to staff which
would include, recognizing signs of abuse and mental health issues, teaching
students strategies for coping with stress and anxiety and develop overall good
mental health.

Could be a full or part-time position.

Required Qualifications A background in crisis intervention would be a plus.
Preferred Qualifications A teaching degree or health-related field a plus.
