Executive Director of Elementary Education. Edmond Public Schools Administration Center. (12/17/2019 Replacement Position). Elementary Principal – 0505. Administrator Contract 240 Days/District Scale. Salary Range: $92,448- - $112,000. Master’s Degree+, Doctorate preferred. Teaching and administrative experience at the elementary level. POSITION TITLE: Executive Director of Elementary Education
DEPARTMENT: Administrative Center
REPORTS TO: Superintendent
The Executive Director of Elementary Education assumes responsibility as a member of the Administrative Team to provide leadership and supervision of elementary instructional programs PK-5.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises and evaluates personnel directly related to the position.
Provides leadership for elementary principals by supervising instructional programs, methods of teaching, supervision, and administration in the elementary schools.
Observes, supervises and evaluates the performance of elementary schools and principals and communicates with them regarding their performance and professional growth.
Stays informed regarding current trends and professional practice in the various subject matter fields, and serves as a leader or resource person for curriculum studies.
Assists in the revision and/or addition of curricular programs in the
Assists with textbook examination and selection procedures for the
Interacts with patrons and community members in such a way to promote the mission of Edmond Public Schools.
Prepares and administers budgets for all supervised program areas.
Submits program documentation for approval.
Ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws and guidelines.
Assists in the recruitment, selection and recommendation for hiring personnel.
Assists in the development and delivery of appropriate professional development programs for District staff.
Participates as a member of the Superintendent’s Administrative Team
Provides leadership to elementary principals and other staff members
Assists the Human Resources administration in making staffing
Assists the District’s Residency Officer on elementary residency and attendance issues.
Coordinates Intra-district transfers for the elementary sites.
Coordinates with site principals, the enrollment procedures for Open
Determines program locations including off site collaborations, and
Responsible for implementation of Reading Sufficiency Mandate.
Chairs the District Wellness Committee.
Assists the District’s Counseling Facilitator to provide quality counseling and mental health supports for the elementary counselors, teachers and students.
Other duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent.
Length of Contract: Two hundred forty (240) contract days.
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Superintendent in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policies and state law.

|Required Qualifications||QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Elementary Administrator K-8 Certification
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, staff, parents, and the general public.
Ability to plan budgets and use the mathematical skills required to do so. Maintain accurate records and support documentation for projects under the supervision of the position.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to use computer and computer related programs and other technologies needed to perform essential job functions. Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community. Ability to organize and chair or facilitate committees and meetings. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
