Curriculum/Instructional Technology Specialist

We are seeking a qualified candidate to lead and assist teachers with curriculum and technology integration needs across the district. Candidates must present a strong orientation to progressive philosophy and teaching methods, and possess knowledge of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and educational technology. This candidate will be expected to lead curriculum initiatives and support teachers in effectively integrating technology into the curriculum and will also be expected to coordinate and facilitate professional development experiences for faculty and staff in collaboration with the professional development committee. In addition, candidates are expected to communicate in a professional manner, demonstrate commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, support the school in its mission and beliefs, and contribute to its functioning as a close-knit community.

Essential duties and responsibilities are listed below; additional duties may be assigned as needed to contribute to the smooth functioning of the school. Some summer hours may be required.

Curriculum
Collaborate with teachers, administrators and the technology department regarding curricular and technology needs aligned with the school's mission;
Assist in conversations with faculty to stimulate the exchange of ideas on issues of educational/philosophical interest and concern;
Assist teachers in matching appropriate assessment instruments to curriculum objectives;
Review curriculum resource needs and assist in coordinating alignment throughout the district to include organizing textbook adoption, ordering resources, and assisting with implementation of resources;
Provide leadership and nurture innovation for teaching and learning;

Technology
Collaborate with CSI technology committee regarding the District’s technology plan;
Assist new teachers with implementation of the technology-based curriculum resources available to their grade level;
Assist the technology department with the rostering and SSO implementation of new technology-based curriculum resources;
Collaborate with the technology department’s classroom specialist to prioritize, plan and implement new technology initiatives;
Collaborate with the technology department’s classroom specialist to develop micro-professional development regarding technology initiatives;
