Guymon High School, a 5A high school in the Oklahoma Panhandle is seeking an English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher for the 2021-2022 school year. We are looking for a world class educator that has a vision for building and sustaining a program of excellence. Specifically, Guymon Public Schools is looking for a teacher that understands the importance of building collaborative relationships with students and staff, technology, and providing innovative experience for students. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with students of diversity, Professional Learning Communities, and has experience developing programs to maximize student achievement. The largest and most populous city in the panhandle of Oklahoma, Guymon is at the center of local economies which include livestock and hog farming, manufacturing, as well as oil and natural gas production. Guymon Public Schools has 6 elementary schools, 1 middle school, and 1 high school. Guymon Public Schools will begin a 5 year strategic improvement plan in the Fall of 2020. The plan will increase student achievement, meet the needs of all learners, provide a safe and nurturing environment, establish partnerships and relationships with all parents and community stakeholders. Guymon Public Schools pays $3000 above state base and offers a signing bonus for new employees and a retention bonus for current employees.
