Description | District-wide counselor through the OSDE School Counselor Corps Grant Program. The purpose of the grant is to ensure Oklahoma PK-12 students have the academic and mental health supports needed to be successful in the post-pandemic school culture. The counselor will promote student success, provide preventive services, and respond to identified student needs. The counselor will lead in the development of a multi-tiered system of support for students in relation to their social emotional needs. The counselor will have an office at Betty L. Smith EEC to assist with the site's counseling needs and will travel to other sites in the district when students are experiencing behaviors and other difficulties related to trauma. Required Qualifications | Passion to see students succeed academically, socially and emotionally. Master's degree in school counseling or related field. Oklahoma teaching certification wit a school counseling endorsement. |
Preferred Qualifications | Experiences as a classroom teacher, school counselor and a passion and love for student learning and social/emotional stability. |
