JOB DESCRIPTION
Climate Coordinator job description: a professional who enhances overall well-being and helps meet the basic and complex needs of communities and people. Many different populations and types of people are served, focusing on the vulnerable, oppressed, and living in poverty. At PPS-this individual will be officed on-site coordinate with local, regional, and state organizations to meet the needs of students and families in our community.
Examples of services that could be offered include:
Enroll in food stamps
Connect with clothing drives
Housing assistance
Foodbank
Rent and utility assistance
Transportation
Academic assistance for parent and student
Technology assistance
This person would also encompass mental health, providing training to staff which would include recognizing signs of abuse and mental health issues, teaching students strategies for coping with stress and anxiety, and developing overall good mental health.
SALARY- this grant would pay for salary, benefits, curriculum, and resources.
Preferred Qualifications
Background in medical, public relations, counseling, and/or education a plus.
