| Description | Blanchard Public Schools has an opening for a licensed professional counselor. The licensed professional counselor (LPC) will serve as a liaison between families and the school to support the needs of students, provide individual and group counseling to students, and provide staff training regarding risk factors and intervention methods. The on-site LPC will have a positive impact on individual students by providing assessment and treatment. In addition, the LPC will assist in the adoption and/or development of data collection systems to determine student needs. Multi-tiered systems of support will be implemented based on the collected data. The LPC will also assist the counselors and administrators in selecting and/or developing a comprehensive social and emotional learning curriculum. Our goal is to enable students to increase their ability to manage emotions, resolve conflict, and self-regulate resulting in increased social and emotional wellness and academic achievement. |
