Being a rural small school comes with many benefits.  We have a safe and caring atmosphere.  Our small class sizes allow teachers to get to know the students on a one-on-one basis.

We want to hire a Health/PE Teacher that is going to stand out from the rest.  We want our teachers/coaches to have great skills in communication, listening, collaboration, consistent, patient, resourceful and have empathy.  We want our teachers to be compassionate with our students.  Create an effective classroom environment that will have the students excited to learn.  Hiring teachers that have passion for learning is a must for us.  We expect our Health/PE teacher to create lesson plans to instruct their students.

Teacher expectation is to have appropriate emotional control, physical health and personal appearance.  Teachers may be asked to perform other tasks and responsibilities that may be assigned by the school administration.

Our goal is to find a Health and Physical Education Teacher who is willing to be innovative and creative to meet the needs of the students, as well as meeting the Oklahoma Academic Standards for Health and Physical Education.  Must be willing to obtain all requirements to coach within the State of Oklahoma.

In addition to the OSSAA policy requirements, the Oklahoma State Department of Education requires coaches to have taken a course in the care/treatment/prevention of athletic injuries. (Contact April Barr at the Oklahoma SDE Accreditation/Standards) All coaches are required to annually view information in regard to sudden cardiac awareness.

All interested applicants should hold a current teaching certificate with the Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries completed.
