SUMMARY

Responsible for development and implementation of CV Tech’s marketing plan, recruitment strategies and budget. Serve as an advisor to the Superintendent and Senior Leadership Team. Assist in the development of school district strategic initiatives. Develop positive relationships with local media, stakeholders and staff. Supervise and manage the marketing and recruitment staff.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in marketing, public relations or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education is required. A minimum of five years of work experience in marketing and communications is required. Preference may be given to individuals with experience in education, organizing recruitment activities, supervisory experience, and/or a Master’s Degree.

Provide counsel to the Superintendent, Senior Leadership Team and staff, regarding public relations, marketing and ongoing recruitment activities.
Collaborate with Student Services administrators and counselors on recruitment activities and special events
Provide managerial direction for the marketing and recruitment teams to include daily supervision, guidance and support for strategic and operational planning. Responsible for decision-making and professional development of staff.
Manage marketing budget and projects in a timely manner to ensure quality and provide the optimum return on investment.
Collaborate with outreach and recruitment specialists, campus administration and counselors to continue the growth of a comprehensive recruitment plan for sending school students within CV Tech’s district.
Work in collaboration with the Business and Industry Services to build awareness of short-term class opportunities and industry specific programs
Lead in the development of integrated marketing and communications plans and the strategic implementation for CVTech.
Use data analytics to make informed decisions on marketing campaigns, promotion of full-time programs and short-term classes, and recruitment strategies.
Oversee the planning and coordination of CVTech’s special events.
Supervise the development and implementation of CVTech’s media relations, crisis communications, and social media plans.
Conduct formal and informal research to use as a basis for plans and actions.
Oversee the school district's formal communication plans and processes for internal and external customers.
Build positive relationships with local media, state and local officials, sending school administration, statewide marketing associations and stakeholders.
Provide relevant public relations and marketing training to CVTech staff as needed.
Participate in the planning and development of new programs and services.

Travel across the district is required; must possess a valid Class D Oklahoma driver's license with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience to operate district vehicles and maintain an acceptable driving record.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise and manage Communications and Marketing staff to include both exempt and nonexempt employees. Responsibilities include departmental recruitment, selection, hiring, orientation, assignment of duties, performance appraisal, and professional development.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The primary work environment is in an office environment that regularly requires employee to sit for extended periods of time. Requires reliable, dependable and punctual attendance.
