| Description | Purpose of Job: To assure each Aviation Maintenance Technician enrollee advances to the level necessary to attain related certifications and gainful employment. Responsible for the coordination and implementation of the Aviation Maintenance Technician program at SouthernTech while maintaining compliance with FAA’s Title 14, Part 147 Aviation Maintenance Technician Schools regulations, SouthernTech regulations, SouthernTech board policy, Oklahoma Department of Career and Technical Education requirements, State and Federal Laws. |
| Required Qualifications | Job requirements: 1. High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. 2. A provisional Oklahoma Teaching certificate is required; Standard Oklahoma Teaching Certificate preferred or willingness to obtain in accordance with district policy. 4. FAA A & P certification required. 5. IA (Inspection Authorization) preferred. 6. A minimum of 3 years in the last 5 years work experience in aircraft maintenance. 7. Must be familiar with FAA Title 14, Part 147 Aviation Maintenance Technician Schools regulations. |
