We are proud of who we are and the direction we are heading! POSITION DESCRIPTION: The principal will serve as an instructional and operational leader of their assigned building. The principal will provide a clear vision for learning for all students; ensure a safe, secure and orderly learning environment; and cultivate strong relationships with and act in service to diverse stakeholders, including families and the community. The principal is expected to promote high-quality instructional practices, passionately enjoy working with students, and believe that all students can achieve. The principal is responsible for selecting and assigning staff, supporting differentiated professional growth and building the leadership capacity of staff. The principal must collect, analyze and use multiple sources of data to guide continuous improvement in student achievement, manage school operations, and effectively evaluate and develop staff. Required Qualifications | Valid Oklahoma Principal Certificate for Secondary Principal. |
Preferred Qualifications | Strong background in instructional leadership. Ability to motivate staff, students and families around the vision of the school. Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. High degree of motivation, responsibility and confidentiality. Ability to develop and analyze complex reports with a strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in calculations. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced work environment. Ability to reflect on how to improve, self-awareness of strengths and weaknesses, willingness to take responsibility for actions and mistakes Highly collaborative team player. Empathy for the perspectives of students, staff and stakeholders. Ability to self-initiate areas of opportunity, make recommendations for improvement, and follow up as necessary to achieve desired results. Effective decision-making skills; capable of having crucial conversations. Strong analytical and interpretive skills.
