| Description | Alva Public Schools will have two Early Childhood Teacher openings for the 23-24 school year. These two positions could be Kindergarten or First Grade. Alva Public Schools is a 3A school located in Alva, OK in Woods County. District wide there are about 1,100 students in our school. The positions would be at Washington Early Childhood Center. Washington has 250 students on average. There are currently four Kindergarten, four First Grade, and three Prekindergarten classes. Alva Public School's pay structure is based on the Oklahoma State Minimum teacher pay scale. Our district has been very generous over the last six years as it has paid out 2.5 million dollars in stipends to its staff. Our Town has a population of 4,997. We have a very good career tech located in town as well as Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Access to the university is a definite plus for young teacher seeking to continue their education and achieve a Master's degree.
