Description | JOB TITLE: CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER JOB SUMMARY: Direct and manage support operations of the district including child nutrition, transportation, maintenance and custodial programs, construction management, risk management, and environmental safety. Demonstrate support for the district's student management policies and expected student behavior related to operational aspects of the district (transportation, food services, classroom facilities, etc.). Participate as a member of the Superintendent’s Leadership Team. Required Qualifications | EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s Degree Required; Master’s Degree in Educational Administration, architecture, engineering or related field preferred • Minimum of five years in a supervisory capacity; demonstrated success in project management preferred • Ability to communicate with various groups of people, including communication with parents, teachers, transportation, administrators, and outside agencies; adapting to changing work priorities; meeting deadlines and schedules; setting priorities; working as part of a team; working with detailed information/data; schedule activities, meetings, and/or events; gather, process, and distribute information and data; and public service skills to include congeniality, professionalism, and excellent oral and written communication. • Identify, define, analyze and recommend solutions to administrative operational and programmatic problems related to the District’s operational needs • Responsibilities include: working independently under broad organizational policies to achieve organizational objectives; providing information and/or advising others; and supervising the use of funds. Utilization of resources from other work units is often required to perform the job's functions. There is the opportunity to significantly impact the Organization’s services. • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of, and ability to effectively plan and provide training in, facility maintenance and construction, grounds keeping, irrigation controls, pest control, energy management, emergency response and risk management and energy conservation activities • Valid driver's license and clean driving record; reliable transportation for frequent district wide travel |
