| Description | Nowata Public Schools is accepting applications for the position of Superintendent of Schools for the 2023-2024 school year. Nowata is located in Northeast Oklahoma, forty five minutes north of Tulsa and is the county seat of Nowata County. The school serves approximately 750 students from diverse backgrounds. Nowata has 64 certified employees and 39 support staff. Points of pride Nowata has a robust stem program, a stellar band ,choir, and robotics program. The community is very supportive of athletics. | Preferred Qualifications | Knowledge of Budget, Finance, construction and bond issues. Strong communication skills. Strong leadership managing personnel. Outside of the box thinker. Knowledge of Oklahoma Education system, laws and regulations. Be a visionary leader and be able to pass vision along to district and community. Be visible in all areas of district. Continue moving district forward. |
