Skills and Abilities Required:
Experience must be acquired in current technologies according to the assignment area, which includes, but is not necessarily limited to, microcomputer and mainframe computer support; voice and data network installation and maintenance; help-desk services; and broadcast operations.
May include practicum and /or written test components(s) for purposes of hiring.
Demonstrates leadership skills and abilities in providing guidance and assistance to lesser knowledgeable/skilled technicians in the more complex aspects of the work.
Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally diverse team-based environment.
Knowledge of current computing technologies and software applications appropriate to the position’s job responsibilities.
Be self-motivated, able to work on several projects concurrently.
Be able to protect the confidentiality of information pertaining to students, staff and program matters as appropriate.
Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment.
Ability to react resourcefully to varying conditions.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Applicants or persons employed in this position must be able to perform the following tasks and functions which are fundamental to the purpose of the position.
Gives guidance to technology supervisors in the installation, maintenance and repair activities on technology and information services systems, peripherals and components related to their areas of responsibility.
Ensures the coordination of all departments who are responsible for service orders, including allocation of materials, equipment, parts, supplies and resources necessary to fill service requirements.
Manages the coordination of tasks and activities with both internal resources and external contractors.
Assists department management with budget development and administration according to those areas within prescribed authority, ensuring adherence to established budgetary parameters.
Leads problem-solving initiatives applicable to assignment area, which may involve collaborative efforts depending on the nature and extent of the issue(s) under review.
Maintains current knowledge of industry trends and developments applicable to the assigned technical function(s) for application to areas of responsibility.
In addition to the employee being responsible for each of the performance responsibilities listed herein,periodic and special reports to the Lawton Public School Board of Education and other entities will be provided regarding the impact of this position with respect to progress toward annually established District and Divisional goals and objectives for, but not necessarily limited to, the following areas: 1) Customer Service, 2) Fiscal Accountability and Responsibility, 3) Process Efficiencies and Improvements, and 4)Employee Learning and Growth.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: FULL-TIME, PERMANENT
|Education and/or Experience:
Hold a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, or Associate’s degree with five years journey-level technician/leadership experience, or 10 years of experience supervising a technology department with more than 10 personnel.
