Description

Essential Job Functions:
Facilitate, co-plan, and assist with summer programming
Collaborate and coordinate with teachers to ensure grant objectives are being met
Serve as an instructional leader who advocates and works to obtain access for all to information, media, and literature in a variety of forms
Promote the operations and resources of the library so that they become a fully integrated part of the instruction program of the school and promote learning
Provides leadership and expertise in the selection, acquisition, evaluation, and organization of library information resources and technologies in all formats
Establishes and maintains professional communication with parents, students, and district personnel
Collaborates with faculty to assist with researching, lesson planning, integration of technology and ordering materials that align with district curriculum;
Works collaboratively with staff to plan and adapt instruction to meet the needs of individual students and acts as a resource for teachers as they plan instruction and instructional interventions
Required Qualifications Oklahoma State teaching certificate with Library Media Specialist Endorsement
Preferred Qualifications Considerable knowledge of professional principles and practices of library science and current trends in school library services.

Experience in planning, evaluating, implementing reading programs, projects and services.
