Description | We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Elementary School Principal to lead our PreK through 1st-grade school community (400 students and 50+ faculty and staff members). As the instructional leader of our school, the ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Professional Learning Community (PLC) practices, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. |
Required Qualifications | *Master's degree in Educational Leadership or related field; Principal certification required. *Previous experience in school administration or leadership role preferred. *Deep understanding and experience with Professional Learning Community (PLC) practices. *Strong instructional leadership skills with the ability to support and develop teachers. *Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders. *Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education. *Knowledge of curriculum development, assessment, and data analysis strategies. *Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions to improve student outcomes. *Effective organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities. *Dedication to fostering a positive school culture and supporting the social-emotional well-being of students and staff. |
Preferred Qualifications | *Provide visionary leadership to create and maintain a culture of academic excellence, equity, and continuous improvement. *Implement and oversee PLC practices to support collaborative learning among teachers, fostering a culture of professional growth and development. *Lead curriculum development, implementation, and assessment efforts in alignment with district standards and student needs. *Supervise and evaluate teaching staff, providing support, feedback, and professional development opportunities to enhance instructional effectiveness. *Collaborate with teachers, staff, students, and families to ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive school climate conducive to learning and growth. *Utilize data-driven decision-making processes to monitor student progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement targeted interventions as needed. *Foster positive relationships with parents, guardians, and community stakeholders through effective communication and engagement initiatives. *Manage school resources effectively, including budgeting, staffing, and facilities, to support the educational mission and goals of the school. *Stay informed about current educational trends, research, and best practices to inform decision-making and improve school performance. *Represent the school within the district, community, and professional organizations, advocating for the needs and interests of students and staff. |
