As the Southwest Elementary Assistant Principal, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive and productive learning environment for students in grades 2nd through 5th. You will work closely with the Principal, teachers, staff, and parents to ensure academic excellence, student engagement, and a supportive school culture. This position requires a strong understanding of Professional Learning Communities (PLC) practices, instructional leadership, effective discipline management, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Instructional Leadership:

*Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement effective instructional strategies that align with curriculum standards and best practices.
*Provide guidance and support to teachers in lesson planning, curriculum development, and assessment strategies.
*Conduct regular classroom observations to provide constructive feedback and support teacher growth.
*Coordinate professional development opportunities to enhance teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes.

Professional Learning Communities (PLC):
*Facilitate PLC meetings to analyze student data, identify trends, and develop action plans for improving student achievement.
*Foster a collaborative environment among teachers to share best practices, resources, and instructional strategies.
*Monitor the implementation of PLC initiatives and provide support as needed to ensure their effectiveness.

School Discipline Management:
*Implement and enforce school-wide discipline policies in a fair and consistent manner.
*Investigate and address student behavior issues promptly, working closely with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to develop appropriate interventions and supports.
*Provide guidance and training to staff on effective classroom management techniques and positive behavior interventions.

Communication and Collaboration:
*Maintain open and transparent communication with students, parents, staff, and community members.
*Collaborate with the Principal and other administrators to develop and communicate school-wide goals, policies, and initiatives.
*Respond promptly to inquiries, concerns, and feedback from stakeholders, demonstrating professionalism and empathy in all interactions.

Required Qualifications *Master's degree in Education Administration or related field (required).
*Valid state certification as a school administrator or eligibility for certification.
*Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, preferably at the elementary level.
*Strong knowledge of Professional Learning Communities (PLC) practices and their application in improving student achievement.
*Proven ability to effectively manage school discipline issues with fairness, consistency, and empathy.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
*Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate others towards common goals.
*Proficiency in educational technology tools and data analysis methods.
*Commitment to continuous professional growth and learning.
