Fort Towson Public Schools is seeking an energetic, personable leader who is a strong communicator with strong proven leadership skills for it’s 7-12 campus. This School Principal must provide instructional leadership to improve student achievement, and is responsible for the organization and operation of the school within the framework of the existing policies of Fort Towson Public Schools.
This School Principal will develop and maintains a data-driven focus to support student achievement, provide continuous support for improvement of instruction and to accesses and administer continuous support for a guaranteed and viable curriculum. In addition this leader is expected to develop and maintain a culture of cooperation and collaboration where teachers, students, parents and community have appropriate input and will create and support a school culture of safety, trust, achievement and success. This School Principal will provide direct leadership to teachers and serves as a resource to others; supervising faculty members as assigned; oversee and coordinate school activities, extra duties, and addressing issues, situations and/or problems that arise. This position may require this leader to work irregular hours outside the 8-5 workday, to include but not limited to working evening hours, weekends, and as needed to meet the operational oversight this position entails. This leader is the face of the school, and is expected to attend the majority of school functions and be always presentable. This School Principal will report directly to the school superintendent and will work closely with other school officials.
Masters degree and appropriate administration certification is required. Previous administration experience is preferred but not required.
