| Description | Friend School is looking for a middle level math teacher for 6th, 7th and 8th grades. Friend is a Pre K - 8th School with around 220 students and 30 staff members. Teachers at Friend plan, organize and implement an instructional program to address the needs of the whole child that guides, encourages, and empowers students to take ownership in their learning with the end goal of students developing and meeting their full potential. The school has an aligned curriculum to assist students being prepared and ready as they move from grade to grade. The academics are supported by extracurricular opportunities such as the Academic Team, Science Fair, Cultural Night, Spelling Bees, and STEM activities in the classroom and through a Makerspace. Friend is at a 1:1 ratio with Chromebooks in addition to two computer labs and several 3D printers. Friend School has a strong tradition and presence in athletics. Students have the opportunity to participate in basketball, baseball, cheer, cross country, softball, and track and field.
