Description

Assist in the coordination of district programs under the supervision of the Superintendent. Perform standard duties for the Superintendent and Board of Education office.

Maintain all Fund Accounts in Accounts Payable, oversees and maintains records relating to fund accounts (processes Purchase Orders, writes/signs fund checks for payments).

Performs secretarial services for district office (answering phones, taking messages, greeting visitors etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Must have a High School Diploma or GED; knowledge of public school finances preferred

Knowledge: A strong ability to get along with patrons, staff, and administration. Must be self-motivated with a strong desire to excel. A minimum of five years office experience in a public school system is preferred.

Skills: Effective communication and organizational skills, flexibility, ability to maintain confidentiality. Exhibit computer proficiency in word processing, data base, and spreadsheet programs. Able to work independently to complete assigned projects. Must possess effective bookkeeping and accounting skills and be able to be bonded. Strong emphasis on working with the public.

Machines/Equipment: Computer, printer, copier, and telephone.
