JOB TITLE: Budget/Treasury Analyst
DEPARTMENT: Finance
REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Finance
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Fulltime, 12 months
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Experience: 5+ years in of progressive accounting experience
Skills: Demonstrated ability to develop, recommend, and implement budget
policies and guidelines for the preparation of distinguished budget award
documents. High attention to detail, experience and skill with Windows
based software, technology training, excellent written and oral skills,
strong problem solving and organizational skills. Tracking and
maintaining budget expenses, analyzing Information, high level of work
ethic, and creative-strategic thinking.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: these statements are intended to describe the responsibilities assigned to this

1. Implement budget planning and monitoring all district programs, departments, and
funds in concert with the financial goals and objectives of the district, including both
revenue and expenditure budget.
2. Communicates and collaborates with executives and all departments on budget needs,
development, proposals, projections, and changes. Estimate and forecast future
financial needs and supports programs with financial analytics
3. Determine and maintain budgets in compliance with regulations.
4. Develop, recommend, and implement the GFOA Distinguished Budget Presentation
Award Program.
5. Assist with financial reports such as the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report,
Estimate of Needs and other district reporting requirements.
6. Function as the District Assistant Treasurer. Including but not limited to: accounts
receivable management, receipts, document imaging of data, and acquires/maintains
the required professional development and training for the position

7. Analyzes, reviews, and corrects data to prepare standard and ad hoc reports as
required.
8. Works with external auditors for gathering requested information and assists with
annual audit
9. Other duties as assigned

ATTENDANCE STATEMENT:
Able to be in attendance for assigned work schedule with 95% minimum attendance.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Work is performed inside in a computerized office environment with minimal exposure to
extreme environmental conditions or hazardous materials/equipment.
