Catoosa Public Schools is seeking a Facilities Manager to organize, administer, and lead a comprehensive program of maintenance and custodial services that provide and maintain, in an efficient and economical manner, the facilities, grounds, equipment, and furnishings of the district, so that all students, staff, and the community are assured of clean, safe, attractive, and healthy place in which to learn and work. This is a hands-on facilities/maintenance position with supervisory responsibilities. The position reports to the Superintendent.

Qualifications:
• Five years of successful experience in the facility maintenance field, preferred
• Demonstrates a high level of effective leadership and communication skills
• Experience analyzing problems and developing action plans
• Positive interpersonal skills to work professionally with staff and have experience establishing effective and collaborative relationships with community members and other agencies
• Knowledgeable of principles and practices related to the management of maintenance, custodial, warehouse, and landscape activities
• Hands-on experience with HVAC units, electrical, grounds care, buildings, custodial care, carpentry, playground equipment and safety, preferred
• Working knowledge of all applicable OSHA, EPA, and OSDE regulations that apply to the Facilities and Maintenance Department of the school district, preferred
• Responsible for asbestos management plan, district pest management plan, district safety plan
• Clearance of background check required
• Valid Driver's License
• Availability to be on call for facility issues.
• Perform other related duties, as assigned
Physical Requirements
The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, lifting (should be able to lift up to 50 pounds), carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Performance both inside and outside in varying temperatures (cold and hot). The individual must be able to move freely to various locations within schools, offices, and other community settings.
