Description

Major Responsibilities:

-Assist the Superintendent with a variety of administrative tasks and responsibilities
-Board meeting agenda prep and support for Superintendent
-Board policy- coordinate annual updates, formatting, and publication, once approved
-Calendars- manage events, appointments, and notifications
-Communications- create newsletters/messaging; manage website updates and social media calendar
-State Accreditation- coordinate all Oklahoma State Department of Education requirements, reports, & documentation ensuring all standards are met in timely manner
-Student Transfers - process out-for-district emergency transfer requests, approvals, and notifications
-State Department of Education Compliance - ensure all OSDE required reports are completed in timely manner; manage the Single Sign On system for notices, assurances, and grant awards
-TeacherEase (Student Information System) – manage and coordinate SIS including setting up for grades/report cards/schedules
-Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications Skills & Abilities:
Prior successful experience in a high performing school setting is preferred for this position. Candidates with advanced degrees and demonstrated backgrounds in information systems technology, communications, and policy development are desired.
Personal characteristics necessary for the position include high energy and enthusiasm for quality public schools; detail-oriented, organized and self-directed/motivated; care/warmth and a good sense of humor; collaborative nature and consensus-building problem-solving skills; patience and persistence; excellent communication and positive relationship skills.
Previous experience in similar role preferred. Professionalism and knowledge of information systems required.
Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
Read, analyze and interpret general professional journals, technical procedures, and/or government regulations.
Write reports and correspondences as may be appropriate to the educational setting.
Effectively present information and respond to questions in one-on-one or small group situations to students, parents, teachers, staff and the general public.
Plan and manage budgets and use the mathematical skills required to do so.
Maintain accurate records and supportive documentation for projects under the supervision of the position.
Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical and diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Use computer and related programs as well as other technologies needed to perform essential job functions.
Establish and maintain positive, effective working relationships with all students, staff, and the community.
Communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form.
Perform duties and have full awareness of all district requirements, guidelines, and Board of Education policies and handbooks.

Preferred Qualifications Flexible start date second semester of FY21 ramping up to full onboarding no later than June 1, 2021.

Length of Contract: 11-Month/220 days total
Regular school hours & days during the school year (180 days).
Summer flex schedule (40 days)
