Demonstrate, examine and analyze how interpersonal communication affects relationships with peers and adults.
Serves as member of the school’s Counselor Advisory Committee which creates and maintains annual documentation of school counseling services.
Constructs a specific school program and prepares a clearly articulated school counseling program with supporting documentation.

The 6A High School Band Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all aspects of the high school band program, including marching band, concert band, jazz band, and other ensembles. This position requires a strong commitment to student success, musical excellence, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Instruction:
Plan and deliver high-quality instruction in music education, technique, and performance practices.
Conduct rehearsals for all band ensembles, including marching band, concert band, jazz band, and other groups.
Develop and implement challenging and engaging musical programs.
Select and prepare music for performances.
Provide individual and small group instruction to students.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Marching Band:
Coordinate successful marching band show design.
Supervise and instruct marching band students in drill, marching techniques, and show performance.
Prepare the marching band for competitions and performances.
Manage the marching band equipment and uniforms.
Concert Band:
Prepare the concert band for concerts, festivals, and adjudicated events.
Conduct and rehearse the concert band in a variety of musical styles.
Select and prepare challenging and rewarding concert band literature.
Work with orchestra directors to supply musicians for Full Orchestra.
Jazz Band:
Direct the jazz band, emphasizing improvisation and stylistic interpretation.
Program appropriate jazz literature to create successful experiences for all students"
Prepare the jazz band for performances and competitions.
Student Development:
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Encourage student leadership and responsibility.
Mentor and advise students on musical and personal growth.

Order and maintain musical equipment and supplies for the band program.
Manage the Middle and High School band budgets.
Supervise all Enid High School Band Fundraisers
Oversee the Enid High Band Booster Program
Communicate effectively with parents, students, and school administrators.
Participate in school and community events.
Attend professional development workshops and conferences.
Coordinate all music performances at both HS/MS sites
Meet regularly with Middle School instrumental staff
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Music Education from an accredited university.
Master's degree in Music Education preferred.
Valid Oklahoma teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements.
Proven experience as a successful high school band director, preferably at the 6A level.
Strong instrumental and conducting skills.
Experience in marching band design and choreography.
Knowledge of music theory, pedagogy, and technology.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand and conduct for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move equipment.
Ability to travel for competitions and performances.

Certified Teacher Compensation Schedule, plus High School Extra Duty Assignment Stipend with Middle School Duties
