Description

Comanche High School is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a Science teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Individuals serving in this position will be responsible for the creation of lesson plans, adapting and implementing curriculum, providing academic support to students, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. In addition, the position requires the individual to manage many tasks, communicate often with stakeholders, and work in challenging situations.

Candidates are expected to foster student engagement, ensure productivity, and promote a healthy and challenging environment in which Scientific inquiry flourishes.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Utilizing district resources to enhance or address gaps in curriculum.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure student success.
Assess students to determine levels of understanding and identify areas of need.
Accurately and consistently follow district grading policy.
Promote Science through varied involvements.
Accurately and consistently follow expectations of curriculum and the creation of said curriculum.
Utilize technology and have understanding of the Google Suite.
Grow as an educator through continuous professional development.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and certification in Secondary Science
Desire to promote Scientific inquiry throughout the district
Patience, Understanding, and Communication skills
Dedication to district goals and growth
Ability to work with others
