PRIMARY FUNCTION: Instructor will develop, plan, and coordinate curriculum that provides middle
school students, within identified partner schools, with the knowledge and technical skills application within various career clusters.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Director of Partner School Extension
SKILLS REQUIRED: Must have good interpersonal relationship skills and utilize good verbal and written
communication. Be able to develop or modify curriculum to meet requirements for Central Tech’s middle school career exploration program. Knowledge of the sixteen (16) career clusters for career and technology education. Must be a good role model.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Three to five years of successful teaching experience preferred in grades 6th – 8th.
EDUCATION: BS Degree; middle school teaching certificate preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of and the ability to implement effective teaching strategies in the classroom with middle school students, within one of Central Tech’s partner school(s). Including cooperative learning groups, hands-on activities, and project-based learning to assist students in career exploration and skill development/application. Must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver's license.
STARTING DATE: August 1, 2024
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10-Month Contract – Certified/Exempt
