Description ASTEC Charter Schools is seeking an experienced Elementary School Principal for the 2023-24 school year. ASTEC Elementary school currently has 325 students in grades PK-5 and is expanding to over 400 students in 2023-24 and over 700 students in 2024-25. ASTEC Elementary is a Title I school with over 95% poverty and a Hispanic population over 95%.

Job Details- Supervises, provides support and coaches teachers in research based best practices. Supervises and coordinates two instructional coaches to work with teachers in best practices with an emphasis in math and reading instruction. Monitors the physical plant and support services providing upward feedback to the superintendent on the status of the building and grounds, food service, janitorial services, counseling program and special education. The principal works with the Supt and middle/high principal to ensure coordination of implementing school standards, policies and instruction for grades PreK-12. This position will report directly to the school superintendent and will work closely with other school officials.

Must have strong, proven leadership skills, an excellent command of pedagogy and be able to provide meaningful feedback to teachers toward the goal of perpetual instructional growth. The principal also serves as the face of the school to all stakeholders, and must present a professional polished image at all times.

Minimum Qualifications
Have at least 5 or more years experience as a classroom teacher. (No exceptions)
Served at least 5 years as a school administrator/instructional leader with experience showing demonstrated success
Masters Degree in relevant field
