PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Responsible to the campus Director and assist as directed with the operations of the instructional day
Provide supervision for all support staff, student discipline, and related services
Ability to assist new instructors with instructional methods and classroom management to help improve their effectiveness in classroom and laboratory.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
GENERAL ADMINISTRATION:
Assist in defining short-range and long-range educational needs
Establish campus goals/objectives and formulate plans for recommendation to the Director
Keep informed of and interprets laws, regulations, statutes, rules and policies affecting the campus and assist in upholding and enforcing the policies and procedures of the ICTC Board of Education
Assist in identifying, preparing, evaluating and disseminating, pertinent information to the Director
Prepare and submit reports and other documents as required by the ICTC Board of Education, Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education, State Department of Education, and the School District
Develop proposals for special funding of programs and projects
Attend all regular and special meetings of the Board of Education as requested
Participate in Administrative staff meetings and other school meetings and functions as required
Conduct regular meetings with staff under his/her supervision
Participate in the team management process and support the organizational management philosophy of the District
Assist in the development of the long-range plan for all areas related to instructional support areas, plant operations at the campus level
Coordinate the planning of new construction or modifications to existing facilities working in cooperation with the campus Director and District Facility Staff
Work with the Director and instructional staff to insure that students adhere to policies regarding conduct and promote a positive behavior on campus and at all school sponsored activities
Primary supervisor of maintenance and custodial staff and works with Director and staff to develop a daily work schedule
Primary supervisor of campus transportation and bus drivers
Coordinate all safety activities on campus
It is expected for employee to be on time each workday as this is essential to the employee’s job

CIRRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION:
Coordinate support activities with Student Services, Instructional Services, Information Services, and other areas as necessary
Meet with patrons and students to explain policies and procedures as appropriate
Provide leadership in the implementation of vocational student organizations in all occupational programs
Effectively assist instructors in their growth instructionally and professionally through assistance with good teaching techniques.

BUDGETING AND PURCHASING:
Work with the Director in preparation and administration of the campus budget
Work with the Director to establish and maintain efficient procedures and effectively control the expenditures of school funds in accordance with adopted budget and the school code
Monitor the purchase of supplies and equipment for instructional programs, support services, and plant operations at the campus level

PERSONNEL:
Assist in the recruitment and employment of campus support personnel working cooperatively with the Director
Implement procedures for evaluations of support staff to insure compliance with state and federal law, and ICTC Board policies and procedures
Conduct an annual evaluation of all personnel directly under his/her supervision in accordance with personnel policies and procedures of the District
Assist the director with instructional evaluations as needed and/or provide input for those conducted by the Campus Director.
Participate in annual evaluation of his/her own performance with the Director

PUBLIC RELATIONS:
Assist in maintaining a program of Public Relations as may serve to promote understanding and maintain morale within the school and keep the public informed as to the activities, needs, and successes of the school

PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Maintain a line of communication and work cooperatively with instructors, administration, and staff
Maintain professional competence through participation in professional and civic activities
Establish and maintain a close working relationship with the staff at the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education

OTHER:
Maintain confidentiality in sensitive personnel or student issues.
Perform such other duties, assume such other responsibilities, and exercise such other authority as may be required by the Director or Superintendent

Required Qualifications EDUCATION: Master’s Degree Required

EXPERIENCE: Minimum five (5) years of experience as a teacher, supervisor, or administrator of technology educational programs.

CERTIFICATION: Must hold a current teaching certificate; Standard Secondary Principal’s Certificate. Must have or be eligible for the Technology Center Administrator credential. Must have or obtain Teacher Leadership Effectiveness (TLE) certification
