Overview
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), who currently serves as the Head of School, is responsible for the day‐to-day administration of the school’s affairs. The CEO manages and directs all activities of the school as
prescribed by the Board of Directors (Board). The CEO is the Board’s only link to operational achievement
and conduct, so that all authority and accountability of staff, as far as the Board is concerned, is considered the authority and accountability of the CEO. The CEO will, directly or indirectly, supervise all other staff members employed by the school; the CEO is responsible for selecting staff members, conducting staff evaluations and recommending compensation levels. Together with the Board Chair, the CEO represents the organization to the public. The CEO reports directly to the Board.
Qualifications
1. Strong commitment to and alignment with school’s mission and core beliefs.
2. Experience in leadership and management of adults.
3. Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s or Advanced Degree preferred.
4. Ability to assess data, find trends, and use information to make strategic decisions.
5. Knowledge of or experience in education, school finance, governance, management, and/or law.
6. Experience in budgetary planning, accounting, and effective allocation of school resources.
7. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
8. Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‐task.
9. Experience or ability to fundraise for the organization.
10. Ability to approach situations with courage, integrity, respect and perseverance, willingness to take
personal responsibility, open to and interested in feedback on performance, eagerness to continue
to improve in effectiveness, and steady determination to pursue excellence regardless of the situation.
Responsibilities
1. The CEO is responsible for the performance of the organization. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, oversight of the school’s academic, cultural, and operational performance, communication with and engagement of the Board of Directors, leadership and management of all staff, directly or indirectly, implementation of the organization’s strategic plan, ensuring the financial and organizational health of the school (including financial management, fund development, and human capital), ensuring accurate and timely reporting and legal compliance, building and managing external stakeholder relationships, serving as the public face of the school, and special projects as determined by the Board.
Salary and Benefits
Starting salary for the Head of School will be competitive based on local Tulsa Head of School salaries.

Chief Executive Officer Responsibilities
Executive and Strategic Management
1. Inform and engage the Board. Ensure Board committees receive staff support. Working with the Board Chair, develop agendas for Board meetings and materials for Board meeting packets. Identify opportunities to engage Board on strategic issues and follow‐up with members as appropriate.
2. Implement the strategic vision set by the Board. Develop strategies and tactics to achieve this vision via annual operational planning.
Financial Management
1. Create annual budget.
2. Actively manage the school budget by participating in monthly budget meetings to review budget variances and actively monitor school spending.
3. Oversee the school purchasing process by establishing clear systems for staff to request items, placing orders with vendors, and submitting purchases orders, invoices, and reimbursement requests to Collegiate Hall staff.
4. Ensure staff preparation for annual financial audit and facilitate audit.
Development
1. Working with the Board, ensure adequate funding for the school by crafting a fundraising strategy and managing the organization’s fundraising pipeline.
2. Build relationships with current and prospective donors and manage the expansion of the development effort.
3. Oversee grant opportunity identification and grant submission preparation.
External Relations and Marketing
1. Build brand awareness, donor, teacher, and student prospect pipeline, and community advocates by developing and implementing communication and marketing plans.
2. Serve as a public face of the school with external stakeholders, including prospective families, and work actively to ensure strong community buy‐in to the school’s vision and approach to education.
3. Establish good working relationships and collaborative arrangements with community partners, local educational organizations, vendors, funders, politicians, and other organizations to help achieve the goals of the organization.
4. Work effectively with local media to create a strong, positive local presence; participate in select events and speaking engagements as a spokesperson for Collegiate Hall’s mission and impact; review and approve key external messages.

Day‐to‐Day Management
1. Work with the Chief Academic Officer in establishing goals for student growth and achievement in accordance with the strategic direction of the Board.
2. Manage the leadership team to develop culture and operational systems that create a school environment where scholars feel safe, able to take social and academic risks, and excited to come to school each day.
3. Coach the school‐level team to operational excellence by ensuring operational systems are implemented with fidelity by all staff members and by giving feedback to stakeholders when systems are not meeting the bar of excellence.
Leadership Development/Human Capital
Own all aspects of leading, inspiring, managing, and developing the organization’s leadership team.
Responsible, directly or indirectly, for all human resources responsibilities.
School Compliance
1. Build accountability systems to ensure accurate and timely state and federal reporting and guide school‐based operations teams in creating action plans and setting deadlines that ensure accurate and onetime reporting.
2. Provide training and ongoing coaching for school staff around student data collection methods and information systems, best practices, and processes.
