POSITION SUMMARY:

To work in cooperation with appropriate district administrators, teachers, parents, and students. The Speech-Language Pathologist shall be responsible for providing diagnostic and intervention services for students with speech, language, and hearing disorders, helping students to access the general education curriculum.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provided speech-language evaluations for students referred by school personnel, parents, and coordinating agencies.

Recommend appropriate placement and service delivery for students eligible to receive speech-language services.

Provide appropriate speech-language management of communicative disorders.

Refer for additional speech-language evaluation and consultation when indicated.

Provide consultative services to school staff by sharing and demonstrating specific techniques and working with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate relevant and consistent interventions for targeted students.

Attend professional meetings, in-services, and workshops that provide information regarding communication disorders.

Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with speech/language impairments and assist with IEPs for students with speech/language as a related service.

Provide opportunities for student observation and supervise graduate students from state colleges and universities during their clinical practicum.

Maintain and submit information/records, including progress reports for all students.

Additional duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Radiography Clinical Coordinator/Instructor

Experience: Two years of post-certification clinical experience and a minimum of one year of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program required. Proficiency in curriculum design, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising preferred.

Certification: Must be credentialed in radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor certification preferred.

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible instruction, operation, supervision, and general development of the Radiography program in cooperation with the director of the program.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Adhere to Oklahoma Criteria for Effective Teaching and Standards of Performance & Conduct for Teaching in the delivery of Radiography curriculum/instruction.
2. The clinical coordinator/instructor will assist the program director in all aspects of the Radiography Program.
3. Conduct regular clinical faculty meetings.
4. Participate in didactic and/or clinical instruction as well as the assessment process.
5. Correlate clinical education with didactic education.
6. Work directly with clinical education centers for review and/or evaluation of the clinical education courses.
7. Work with the clinical instructors for the delivery of the clinical application classes.
8. Work directly with students at Autry Technology Center and clinical education centers to evaluate and ensure student competencies.
9. Maintain accurate and current gradebook and attendance as well as progress reports to Student Services on a weekly basis.
10. Responsible for the development and implementation of a strategic plan with short- and long-term goals to meet the goals of the Radiography industry.
11. Effectively utilize an Advisory Committee. Minimum of one advisory committee meeting per year required.
12. Prepare and submit to direct supervisor a list of budgetary needs for the Radiography program annually.
13. Monitor expenditure of school funds in accordance with the adopted budget and the school code to purchase instructional supplies and equipment.
14. Maintain accurate inventory records and closely monitor use of inventory items in the Radiography program to prevent loss, damage, or theft.
15. Keep all areas of the Radiography classroom/lab in a safe and orderly manner.
16. Instruct students and practice daily the proper use, care, and safety of equipment, materials, supplies, furniture, and facilities.
17. Actively promote and engage in student recruitment for the Radiography program.
18. Promote and coordinate the placement of students in realistic training/job shadowing, supervised work experiences, full-time employment, and/or continuing education.
19. Keep apprised of and incorporate instructional/technological changes in the industry to include laws, regulations, statutes, rules, and policies affecting the Radiography program.
20. Actively engage and maintain working relationship between the Radiography program, Autry Technology Center Workforce and Economic Development staff, and businesses/industries in the field.
Sponsor/co-sponsor CTSO organization as an integral part of the program and encourage students to become actively involved in CTSO and/or any other student activities.
21. Coordinate with Marketing Department to keep the public informed regarding activities and successes of the Radiography program.
22. Encourage and prepare students to take industry-related certification tests.
23. Prepare and actively participate in the accreditation/evaluations of the Radiography program.
24. Participate in annual evaluation of his/her own performance with supervisor.
25. Assist in upholding and enforcing the policies and procedures of the Autry Technology Center Board of Education.
26. Assist in identifying, preparing, evaluating, and disseminating information to Autry Technology Center administration as requested.
27. Prepare and submit reports and other documents as required by Autry Technology Center, the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education, and other accrediting agencies.
28. Attend faculty/staff meetings, professional development, and other school meetings/functions which are required.
29. Promote positive morale within Autry Technology Center and demonstrate the ability to work with people.
30. Establish and maintain effective communication with staff, students, and high school parents/guardians.
31. Maintain professional competence through participation in professional, educational, and leadership activities.
32. Dress in an appropriate and professional manner.
33. To ensure continuity of services, remote work may be necessary in the event of a health crisis or disruptive situation that requires the closing of school and/or office buildings. An employee’s eligibility for remote work will be determined by the Superintendent or designee. Expectations and guidelines for remote work will be distributed by the employee’s supervisor based on his/her role and responsibilities.

PHYSICAL FACTORS:
