Under the general supervision of the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, to provide leadership and supervision in administering the educational program of the Middle School in order to promote the educational development and achievement of students in accordance with Board of Education policies, administrative procedures, rules and regulations, and applicable law.
To provide leadership in program development and improvement, as well as in professional staff development.

Required Qualifications Develops and administers school programs consistent with school district goals and objectives.

Provides leadership and direction to staff with regard to the ongoing evaluation and improvement of educational programs, including curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Promotes a school environment that is safe and conducive to individualized instruction, cooperative curriculum development, and student learning.

Ensures that Board policies and procedures are implemented and followed at the school.

Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops or professional meetings, or by conducting research.

Encourages staff to continue to grow professionally and to experiment with new approaches or strategies to teaching.

Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping and reporting for all student activities, attendance and records as required by law.

Coordinates the work of school staff and school district program leaders to develop and implement instructional programs and teaching practices.

Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning, and works with teaching staff to modify instructional methods to fit students' needs, including students with special needs.

Coordinates with the central office in recruitment and selection of employees, the proper maintenance of employee personnel files, the administration of collective bargaining agreements, corrective action, and other human resource issues.

Organizes and conducts regular meetings with teachers for continuing development of instructional techniques.

Involves staff in the evaluation of programs and the planning of new programs.

Encourages parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents.

Ensures that student conduct conforms with the school's standards and school district policies.

Supervises and evaluates teaching staff and other building employees in accordance with the school district's evaluation plan, and makes recommendations regarding goals, areas needing improvement and continued employment.

Organizes and manages the budgetary and financial affairs of the school consistent with school district policies.
Preferred Qualifications Minimum of three years experience as a secondary public school administrator.

Currently certified as a secondary administrator in the state of Oklahoma.

Availability throughout the 2025-26 school year to assist with decision-making relative to opening a new middle school.

Description

Under administrative direction of the Director Campus Operations, the Lead Bus Driver/Scheduler will provide oversight of the district’s bus transportation, drivers, scheduling, bus maintenance, medical documents, and all state reports and inspections. The position will also provide oversight for the processing of storage inventory in and out of the warehouse.

Essential Job Functions:
Manages, in a safe and efficient manner, day-to-day operations of bus transportation to include scheduling and assigning work to employees or outsourcing to charters.
Performs and schedules daily bus routes to provide required student transportation to and from area sending schools.
Performs and schedules student field trips and provides adequate transportation for students.
Schedules routine bus maintenance and prepares required annual reports and inspections.
Maintains records of bus drivers, including required medical documents for annual reports.
Maintains warehouse in neat and mannerly condition and provides oversight of stored inventory.
Prioritizes tasks to be completed and provides follow-up and reporting to Director, Campus Operations.
Ability to be present on the job as described under working conditions and contract details.
Other duties as assigned.
 

Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience in student transportation.
Must possess and maintain Oklahoma CDL with (P) passenger and (S) school bus endorsements, air brake certification and acceptable driving record required.
Must pass drug and alcohol screening upon hire and during random testing.
Possess leadership ability and communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of management.

Must have the ability to acquire and maintain a Fork Lift Training Certificate (training provided) within first three months of employment.

Summary:
The Superintendent serves as the chief executive and educational leader, executing the vision of the School Board and overseeing all district operations, including instruction, finance, operations, human resources, school support, technology, and compliance with state and federal regulations. They set strategic direction, drive student achievement, manage a multimillion-dollar operating budget, and represent the district in the broader community. The candidate must have the background, skills, and abilities essential for excellence in educational leadership.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities
*Serve as the chief advisor to the Board of Education by preparing strategic agendas, reports, and recommendations to guide governance and decision-making.
*Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive district-wide strategic plan focused on academic excellence and continuous improvement in student outcomes.
*Prepare, oversee, and manage the district’s annual budget to ensure financial stability, efficiency, and responsible allocation of resources.
*Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, including Oklahoma State Board of Education and Oklahoma Statewide Charter School Board regulations.
*Represent the district as its public spokesperson and advocate in local, state, and national forums, strengthening relationships with community partners and the public.

Education and/or Experience:

*Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or related field required.
*Superintendent Certification in Oklahoma or another state (or eligibility for Oklahoma superintendent certification under 70 O.S. § 6-189).
*At least five (5) years of progressively responsible PreK- 12 school or district leadership experience.
*Management/supervisory experience required.
*Virtual school leadership preferred.
*Previous teaching experience preferred.

They must be adept at responding clearly and diplomatically to inquiries, concerns, and complaints from families, staff, community members, and regulatory agencies. The role requires proficiency in crafting high-quality written materials—including public communications, policy statements, speeches, and publications—that align with the district’s standards and messaging. Additionally, the Superintendent must be able to deliver compelling and professional presentations to the Board of Education, senior leadership, public groups, and community stakeholders, effectively conveying complex ideas with clarity and confidence.

Mathematical Skills :
Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills, including the ability to interpret and apply mathematical concepts such as statistical analysis, probability, ratios, percentages, and financial projections. This includes the capacity to use data to inform decision-making, evaluate program effectiveness, develop and manage complex budgets, and apply financial models to real-world educational and operational scenarios.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Google applications, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Must have a high aptitude to learn new software as necessary for the business operations of the school.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

*Superintendent Certification issued by Oklahoma or another U.S. state preferred.
*If the candidate does not hold a Superintendent Certification, they must be eligible to obtain a Superintendent Certification under Oklahoma law.

Other Qualifications :

*Must be able to pass a state-mandated background check after a conditional offer of employment is made.
*Must have favorable employment references.
*Must periodically attend meetings and events in different locations around the state, requiring either driving or providing for another reliable means of self-transport.
