Job responsibilities:  Instructors are responsible for the academic and career technical trade instruction per approved curricula. They will provide training and basic guidance and direction to help students achieve their academic and trade goals.

Essential functions:

Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits.
Coordinate with counselors and staff as necessary to resolve issues affecting student training and/ or instruction.
Develop and prepare lessons in accordance with approved curriculum guidelines, recommend curricula changes and supplemental materials.
Maintain organized, clean, and safe training environment.

Job Description

Summary/objective
The Director of Information Technology is responsible for the planning, budgeting, and supporting technology for Great Plains’ Lawton Campus and Tillman/Kiowa Campus. The Director advises the Superintendent on all matters related to Information Technology and provides long range planning for the future technology needs of the school district.

Essential functions
· Accountable for establishing the enterprise vision, strategy, and programs to protect people, information assets, and technologies
· Design and implement a technology plan for local and wide-area networks, telephone
communications, video surveillance, distance education, and security systems
· Daily operations of the IT security program, oversight of the annual and ongoing risk assessment process, development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and access of electronic protected student information, monitoring program compliance as well as investigation and tracking of incidents and breaches
· Supervise installation, operation and maintenance of network and end-user hardware and software
· Implement and monitor network security
· Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations and planning
· Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine hardware and software requirements related to such changes
· Oversee purchasing of network and end-user hardware and software
· Maintain logs related to network functions, as well as maintenance and repair records

· Manage direct reports to maximize the productivity, efficiency and the potential of the staff, including: directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and school mission, values, policies and work rules. Ensures all personnel are appropriately trained in the usage of all IT products and services in order to effectively carry out their job responsibilities. Appraises performance and provides recommendations for staff promotion and termination actions, and hiring as appropriate.

Work environment
The Director of Information Technology typically works in an office environment, but the mission of the school may require work in other settings. Job Description

Summary/objective
The trade and industry teaching assistant is responsible for assisting the welding, electrical and/or carpentry and construction trades instructors with classroom and shop/lab operations as assigned. This position will provide technical instruction as requested and will be responsible for student supervision and student safety. Classroom assignments will be determined by the instructional leader.

Physical demands
While performing the duties of this position, the teaching assistant is frequently required move/position objects, move about their classroom, building and/or across campus. The teaching assistant will work indoors, outdoors in various climate conditions and with applicable tools and machinery which may produce noise and dust. The work may be strenuous and physically demanding. The teaching assistant may respond to emergency situations, student altercations and communicate with staff, parents and students. The teaching assistant may be required to perform extensive work at a computer display terminal.
